Websites contain vital information that can capture the interest of the users, convert them to become a buyer and retain their loyalty to the organization. However, that only applies to effective websites. 1. Are there too many contents in your website? Before, the webpages that contain 10,000 words are common. However, it was found out that it is unnecessary because it is difficult for the user to find the content they really need at the moment. Nobody wants to strain their eyes from reading such lengthy posts. Today, a lot of webpages contained more images because it is more visually appealing. However, there are problems related to loading time because images take more time to show than content. Such problems can invoke stress and anxiety.

2. Organization of a webpage is as essential as the other elements of a website. Such an organization must include a white space where a reader can pause for a minute before he or she continues to read. It can be manifested through margins and spaces around every item on the entire webpage.

3. Another important C in a website is color. Everybody’s aware that red depicts happiness or bravery, black for loneliness, green, blue and white for a calmer atmosphere. Such also applies in web design. What color should be dominant on the website? Most of the time, the website developer is being instructed to use the colors or identity that resembles the organization that owns the website. Settling to bright and bold colors are often done to personal blogs. Such templates can also be available through free hosted blogsites.

4. The last but not the least is the typography or the overall look of the website that appears that way because of the font sizes and font styles that are used. There are lots of fonts that you can choose from ranging from Agency FB up to other unusual fonts that can be downloaded from the internet. However, if the website is associated with professionals, Serif Fonts could be appropriate. An example of this is Times New Roman and you can often see this in a website that creates an impression of seriousness. But for those who simply want to show their creativity, san-serif fonts are considered appropriate.

As you can see, web design is not an easy task. But, as the designer, you must be aware of this basic knowledge. Moreover, you can do trial and error, so that you can see the actual look of the website before it will be launched in the public. You must have heard about beta sites which are often in trial and error stage.
